About This Role
Blueoriginitstaffing LLC is looking for an experienced Data Architect with a strong focus on cybersecurity to join a critical contract engagement. In this role, you will design and execute secure, scalable data architecture solutions for complex enterprise initiatives, safeguard critical information assets, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise data management policies and standards. You will also facilitate solution-driven discussions and actively support architecture design reviews across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement secure, scalable data architecture solutions aligned with enterprise standards
Facilitate stakeholder discussions to drive adherence to data management policies and governance frameworks
Support architecture design reviews to ensure data architecture principles are embedded in all technology solutions
Educate and mentor data management teams on enterprise data architectural principles and processes
Implement monitoring and logging strategies for both structured and unstructured data in big data environments
Develop and manage relational and dimensional data models and metadata
Architect solutions independently, lead code reviews, and maintain quality standards throughout project lifecycles
Operate effectively within an Agile team using Agile SDLC tools and methodologies

Requirements

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
Experience

Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Data Architect or in a comparable role focused on designing and implementing complex data architecture
5–10 years of experience in relational and dimensional data modeling and metadata management
Hands-on experience with Data Quality measurements, scorecards, controls, and remediation

Technical Skills

Expertise in major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Hands-on experience with data fabric technology (e.g., Starburst)
Working knowledge of the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF)
Proficiency with data modeling tools (e.g., SAP PowerDesigner, Erwin Data Modeler) and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, Alteryx)
Expertise in relational and NoSQL database systems with strong SQL and Python skills
Experience with data platforms including Hadoop, Spark, Oracle, SQL Server, and Teradata
Solid understanding of real-time, batch, and event-based data provisioning patterns
Proficiency in communication and presentation tools such as Visio and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Common Information Models (CIMs) and ServiceNow
Fluency in hybrid data mesh and data fabric concepts (Starburst/Trino)
Experience with lakehouse foundations, event streaming, vector search, and LLMOps integration
Understanding of AI governance standards and Zero Trust data architecture
Familiarity with Data Build Tool (dbt)
Knowledge of cybersecurity, audit, and regulatory concerns
Industry certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or TOGAF
