About This Opportunity
Blue Origin IT Staffing LLC is actively seeking a highly skilled DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to join one of our premier enterprise technology clients on a large-scale modernization initiative. You'll be embedded in a small, elite technical unit working on cutting-edge AI-driven infrastructure improvements, backend optimization, and on-prem Kubernetes environment stabilization.

What You'll Be Doing
Testing and validating AI-generated infrastructure improvement recommendations
Enhancing system reliability across a distributed microservices architecture
Resolving complex networking issues within a service mesh environment
Integrating AI/LLM tools for automated troubleshooting, anomaly detection, and incident orchestration
Building or integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for infrastructure operations, metrics retrieval, and log querying
Collaborating closely with senior engineers in a high-impact, highly technical team
What We're Looking For
Core Requirements
5–7+ years of experience with .NET C# microservices and React
Proficiency using GitHub Copilot for development and troubleshooting
Strong hands-on Kubernetes (on-prem) experience including:
Istio, Flannel, kube-proxy, CoreDNS
Distributed networking and service mesh architecture

- Packet-level debugging using tcpdump, Wireshark, Jaeger, and distributed tracing tools
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Druid, and ELK Stack
• AI & Infrastructure Integration (Bonus Edge)
Experience building MCP servers for AI-powered diagnostics
Experience connecting LLMs/AI tools (e.g., Claude) to live infrastructure for automated operations and incident management
Advanced troubleshooting with:
